As a mother of twins, she understands the daily needs of young children not just from theory, but from her own experience. She has completed a certified playgroup leader course as well as first aid training for infants and toddlers. Patience, empathy, and creativity are qualities she has brought to her work with children for years—in Polish, German, and Swiss German.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in special education, where she focused on child psychology and methods for supporting children with special needs—expertise she further refined through hands-on experience in childcare facilities. In her daily work, whether she is facilitating learning and play or helping parents establish healthy routines, she prides herself on her patience and reliability.

Is the Spielgruppe open during holidays? Is it closed on cantonal public holidays?
We are closed on official public holidays in Zurich (dates for 2026/2027: May 6th). We may remain open during school holidays, but please let us know in advance if you are interested. If there is not enough interest, the facility will be closed during that time.
Can I visit the facility before enrolling my child?
Of course! We would be happy to show you our space and answer all your questions — please email us at kontakt@iskierki.ch to schedule a visit.
What happens if my child is absent (illness, travel)?
Your child's spot in the group is reserved regardless of their attendance, so fees still apply during short absences of up to one month, such as due to illness or travel. For longer planned absences, we suspend the fees.
Is a deposit required, and what is the notice period?
We require a deposit equal to two months' fees. During the first two months, the contract can be terminated at any time. After this period, a two-month notice period applies.
Is there an adjustment period for the new environment?
Yes — we know how important a calm start in a new environment is. We encourage parents to stay with their child at the Spielgruppe on the first day. This allows the little one to get used to the new space, their caregiver, and their peers at their own pace.
What are the drop-off and pick-up times?
Iskierki is open from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. If you need to drop off or pick up your child outside of these hours, please contact us to discuss individual arrangements.
Do you also speak German or English to the children?
No — at Iskierki, children are exposed exclusively to the Polish language. This is a conscious choice that helps the youngest children naturally develop their Polish language skills, regardless of the language they use at home or in their daily environment.
Do you provide care for children who wear diapers or need a nap during the day?
Yes, of course. We regularly change diapers for little ones who still wear them, and children who need a rest are provided with nap time in a quiet space. We only ask that you bring your own diapers.
